I saw this guy from the bridge walkway. He was below me on the bank - thank goodness for zoom!



I started seeing these guys in early September but could not ID them.
I was really hoping it was a sea hawk but I just was not sure...




But FINALLY she got close enough to see clearly, and I managed to get her in my camera frame. What a beauty! We've got ospreys over the dam, folks! Here he is enhanced:



These fellas just kept coming! Have I mentioned I love vultures?



Great Blue Herons are prolific.

There are many birds that migrate along the Mississippi, including pelicans.

This little fella came out at sunset for a bit to eat, but a train scared her off in short order.

Another lovely night on the river.

This was gross but fascinating. Sorry. A little snake eating a large toad.

Sunset over a log & algae.
The lillies bloom in July. There are floating flowers for as far as the eye can see.
The Mississippi shoreline is covered in water lillies.
Turtles come out for some sunshine.
